11.4 Inner Moral Compass
11.4 Inner Moral Compass is the Ethical Capacity competency that helps you orient your behaviour by an internalised sense of right and wrong — one that is values-based, felt in the body, and flexible enough to hold complexity. When underdeveloped, people may drift with the crowd, people-please, or rely on rigid external rules. When cultivated, they develop a trustworthy inner compass: a felt sense of integrity that guides choices even in private, ambiguous, or pressured situations. Using the Compass Alignment Cycle — Pause → Values → Feel → Question → Align → Act — you’ll practise the anchor phrase: “My compass is not external approval — it is fidelity to my values.”
